Reflection Consulting bring results that 'stand the test of time' say Egghead Design

Egghead Design is a successful ecommerce company that designs and builds ecommerce sites for companies in a range of different sectors, including several household names. Based in Lutterworth in Leicestershire, Egghead Design has a total of 16 staff employed in a variety of roles.

The directors at Egghead were keen that the company should develop and grow in the right way and felt that it was important to involve all the staff in establishing the company's vision for the future. They decided that bringing in an independent expert who had both expertise and objectivity was the best way to facilitate this. "We needed to evolve as an organisation and the directors were having some difficulty engaging other team members in the process and gaining buy in," explains Tony Leatham, Managing Director of Egghead Design.

Recommendation, expertise and experience

Reflection Consulting became involved in working with the team at Egghead for a one off project after the company's financial director met MD Rosie Garwood at a networking event and was impressed by her knowledge and experience. After setting up a meeting to discuss the prospect of working together, Tony was convinced that Reflection Consulting was the right organisation for the job. "Given Rosie's experience, the recommendations of other people who have worked with her and the advice she gave during the initial meetings, we were 'sold' that she could do the job," he explains.

Bringing objectivity

The project began with Rosie carrying out personality profiling on the management team – an important part of preparing the groundwork for whole staff work. The results of this exercise then facilitated a discussion involving all of the Egghead personnel so everyone could have their say and also listen to others. Part of the discussion process resulted in a useful 'clearing of the air' session which got everybody aligned with the company vision and all working towards a common goal. These sorts of sessions are usually more effective if led by an independent facilitator so they can bring objectivity to the process.

Making change enjoyable – and effective

Tony is full of praise for the way in which Reflection Consulting managed the whole process and was delighted with the outcome. "Reflection Consulting was brilliant; the work that Rosie carried out was highly effective and also enjoyable at the same time."

In fact, Tony was so impressed with the process and the results that he would have no hesitation in both recommending Reflection, and also using their services again if necessary. "We would choose to use Reflection Consulting again in a heartbeat should the need arise. I'd also happily recommend Rosie and the company to others. She achieved great results for our company in quite a stressful and demanding situation. What's more, these results stand the test of time: a year on and we're still cooking on gas."
